Whitech provides Information Technology (IT) products and services to retail businesses and partners throughout the world. Whitech was founded in Australia by the current General Manager, Steve Delnawaz in 1995 and within 4 years of inception, became market leader in retail photographic Point of Sale (POS) software. With the introduction of digital photography, Whitech seized the opportunity and shifted its core focus toward digital photo kiosks (Photo.Teller) and has more recently developed and launched the Imagine Web and Imagine Kiosk line of products and services across major Australian retail chains, with unprecedented success across all retail clients in 2008.
In 2001, Whitech was one of the first companies worldwide to release a self service photo kiosk that could not only accept digital media, but traditional film as well. Kodak Australia successfully distributed it across Kmart stores and independents. That same year Delnawaz’s brother Korosh moved to New York and set up a distributorship in North America.
In 2005, Whitech won the prestigious Telstra Award and was named the Australian Governments Business of the Year. Our software has won numerous awards ranging from the 2008 DIMA Kiosk Shoot-Out People’s Choice award to the prestigious Best Demonstration of ROI at the Kiosk Awards.
In 2007, Fujifilm Holdings Australia becomes our major partner in Australia in acquiring 35% of Whitech. Together Whitech and Fujifilm provide products and services to all major Australian retailers including Big W, Harvey Norman, Domayne, Dick Smith, Camera House, Bing Lee, and many more, all based on Whitech developments and award winning solutions.
In 2009, Pakor Inc. became the majority shareholder in Whitech USA’s distribution, providing the strength and backing of over 80 years photo experience and industry knowledge. Whitech USA now operates out of Maple Grove, Minnesota. With the introduction of Imagine, Whitech USA is poised to become a major provider of online photo and gift solutions in its region.
In 2011, FUJIFILM Holdings Australasia Pty Ltd acquired 100% of Whitech Pty Limited – This acquisition gives Fujifilm a powerful software development platform to support its growing CloudNET business offerings for digital asset management, analogue to digital transition, application integration, online storage and software-as-a-service. This also extends the global opportunities for Whitech’s Imagine Web and Kiosk Product Lines.
Industry leaders recognise our software’s ability to drive sales and increase the average customer's spending. This is achieved through clever workflow and the ability to encourage repeat customer traffic via loyalty programs, promotions and up-sells during the ordering process, these abilities are extended even further in Imagine Web and Imagine Kiosks.
Whitech has grown from strength to strength to incorporate offices in Australia and USA, and with distributors in New Zealand, Canada, Asia and Europe. Our focus remains on continually pushing the boundaries of software development to produce world class products for our clients and partners.
