The Photo Gifting Phenomenon is Here
March, 2006
In an Australian first, Whitech Solutions will begin to offer Gifting as a service through its Photo.Teller™ kiosks. Ordering photo gifts through kiosks is expected to follow the trend in the US and take off in a major way here in Australia.
Steve Delnawaz, Managing Director of Whitech said, "Retailers can really take a competitive stand by offering photo gifts to their customers. Gifting has the potential to really drive profits through its popularity and high profit margins. Currently Whitech is the only known vendor in Australia that is offering photo gifts through kiosks."
Gifting will allow customers to create their own personalised and eye-catching photo gifts. Customers can select photos of their favourite people, places and events and have them placed on a variety of items, making unique keepsakes.
Customers can order their favourite prints on a variety of products that include T-shirts, jigsaws, coffee mugs, mouse mats, bags, balls, plates and more. The software is easy to use and customers can edit their image before adding it to their favourite gift item.
Retailers can decide which gifts they would like to offer as their product line. Whitech will also soon offer a fulfilment service as a free upgrade.
Whitech will launch the new feature during Photo Imaging World, 28th - 30th April. Retailers are invited to view a demonstration of the gifting process at Whitech's stand (469a).
